<p>“I recall one time when I was filming and was sitting in a T-shirt and shorts despite having done my hair and makeup. A lady approached the scene and requested to meet Lord Rama. She was weeping and was quite upset. The team gave me a pointing gesture. She came up to me with a little infant in her arms and placed the youngster at my feet. She begged me to’save’ the kid as she sobbed, saying he was soon to pass away. I instructed her to take the kid to the hospital, but for some reason that I cannot explain, I also prayed for the child’s recovery at the same time. My hand was taken, and it was put on the child’s head. <p>The same youngster who was going to pass away was holding her hand and walking next to her three days later. Although I had nothing to do with it, all that happened was a result of both the woman’s and my confidence in Lord Rama. This is our commitment, this is our faith. <p>The timing of Arun Govil’s interview comes as the audience of Om Raut’s Adipurush has been criticizing the film for its informal conversation and purported misrepresentation of the Hindu epic Ramayana and its characters.</p>
<p>Earlier, Dipika Chikhlia, Arun’s Ramayana co-star, called for an end to the production of Ramayana movies in a video message.</p>
