Why did KL Rahul leave the pitch during LSG against RCB? Here is everything you need to know

Monday's game 43 of the IPL 2023 pits Royal Challengers Bangalore against Lucknow Super Giants. After winning the toss, RCB captain Faf du Plessis decided to bat. But as soon as the game began, Team Lucknow took a significant hit. KL Rahul, the leader of the LSG, left the pitch and returned to the pavilion.
KL Rahul hurt himself defending a four on the boundary rope on the last ball of the second over. A hamstring pain forced him to leave the ground. Rahul was spotted limping and in a lot of agony as he was being helped back off the pitch by the team physio and a reserve player. After what seemed to be a strained thigh muscle while pursuing the ball and sprinting to the boundary, he was having trouble walking and had been lying on the ground moaning in agony for quite some time.
Rahul was replaced on the pitch by a replacement, and Krunal Pandya, the vice captain, assumed leadership of the team in Rahul's stead. The extent of Rahul's injuries is yet unknown.
Only three IPL games have been played between RCB and Lucknow so far. While RCB has won two games, LSG has only won one. RCB trounced Lucknow in both games, including the Eliminator, last year. Lucknow has triumphed in their previous encounter this season.
Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis, Anuj Rawat, Glenn Maxwell, Mahipal Lomror, Dinesh Karthik, Suyash Prabhudessai, Wanindu Hasaranga, Karn Sharma, Mohammed Siraj, and Josh Hazlewood make up the Royal Challengers Bangalore starting XI.
KL Rahul (captain), Kyle Mayers, Deepak Hooda, Marcus Stoinis, Krunal Pandya, Nicholas Pooran (w), Krishnappa Gowtham, Ravi Bishnoi, Naveen-ul-Haq, Amit Mishra, and Yash Thakur are the members of the Lucknow Super Giants playing XI.
